Verification workflows in LAAMP ensure that assessments are thoroughly reviewed before competencies are awarded. These workflows support governance, audit readiness, and training quality by requiring key personnel to verify and/or authorise submitted training responses and evidence.
This page outlines how Verification works in LAAMP, who performs it, and how it fits into the overall training approval process.
What Is Verification?
Verification is the first level of review after a user submits a Practical or Standard Assessment. It confirms:
The assessment was completed correctly
Required media and responses were provided
Evidence aligns with expected standards
Only once an assessment passes Verification can it proceed to Authorisation (if required).
Who Can Verify?
Verification can be performed by users with one of the following permissions:
Coordinator
Administrator
Authoriser (depending on configuration)
Verification Process Overview
A user completes and submits an assessment.
The assessment enters the Awaiting Verification status.
A Verifier accesses the Approval List and selects the pending item.
The Assessment View displays:
Submitted responses
Attached evidence (photos, documents, audio, etc.)
Time/date stamps
Assessor comments (if applicable)
The Verifier can:
Verify the submission, moving it to the Authorisation stage (if required)
Reject the entire submission, sending it back to the user or assessor
Partially Reject (if enabled) only the items needing correction
Outcomes of Verification
Verified: The assessment moves to Authorisation (if required), or directly to Competent if no further approval is configured.
Rejected: The user is prompted to reattempt the assessment or correct specific items.
Partially Rejected: The user is asked to correct only selected items; valid previous entries are retained.
Evidence Handling
During verification, the Verifier should:
Play media files (audio, video)
Review image and document clarity
Ensure all mandatory fields are complete
Use the Download Evidence Pack or View Printable Report as needed
Best Practices for Verifiers
Act on submissions promptly to avoid backlogs
Leave comments when rejecting—clarity speeds up rework
Use the Expected Answers toggle to guide consistency (especially for Practical Assessments)
Coordinate with Authors and Assessors for assessments that frequently fail verification
