After a user completes a Course—particularly a Practical or Standard Assessment that requires formal oversight—the submission may enter a Verification stage. This step ensures the training was completed correctly, with valid evidence and satisfactory performance, before it proceeds to Authorisation or Competency award.
This page outlines the Verification process and how to perform it in LAAMP.
What Is Verification?
Verification is the first step in post-assessment review. It confirms:
All required responses and evidence have been provided
The submission meets the defined standards
There are no issues that require rework or follow-up
Verification is typically performed by a:
Coordinator
Administrator
Accessing Assessments for Verification
To verify an assessment:
Log into LAAMP with appropriate permissions.
Go to the Approval List via the Dashboard or Side Menu.
Filter the list to show “Awaiting Verification”.
Select the relevant assessment to open the Assessment View.
Assessment View: What You’ll See
The user’s responses to each question
Attached evidence (photos, videos, signatures, documents)
Assessment metadata (user, assessor, date/time)
An option to Download Evidence Pack or view a Printable Report
A Verify or Reject button at the top of the screen
Completing the Verification
Review all content carefully, including written answers, evidence, and timestamps.
If satisfied, click Verify.
The assessment moves to the Authorisation stage (if required).
If there are issues or missing content, click Reject.
You may be prompted to provide a reason or comment.
The learner (or Assessor) will be notified and may need to reattempt the assessment.
⚠️ Once verified, changes can no longer be made to the submission.
How Partial Rejection Works
During the Verification stage:
Navigate to the Assessment View from the Approval List.
Review each question in the assessment.
If a specific question is incorrect, incomplete, or needs more evidence, click the “Thumbs Down” icon beside it.
This marks the item for resubmission.
After selecting all items that require attention, click “Reject Selection” at the top of the screen.
Confirm the rejection and optionally leave a comment for the user.
? All unmarked (approved) items will be carried over to the user’s next attempt unchanged.
What the User Sees
The user will:
Receive a notification that their assessment was partially rejected
Be able to see which specific items require re-completion
Complete only the rejected items while previously approved responses remain locked and visible
Once the user resubmits:
The assessment returns to Verification
You’ll need to verify the entire assessment as a whole
Why Use Partial Rejection?
Avoids frustration from redoing completed sections
Speeds up the verification and resubmission cycle
Encourages targeted feedback and focused rework
Maintains data integrity by preserving valid evidence
Best Practices
Add comments to explain each rejection—this supports user understanding
Use the Printable Report to compare original and updated responses
If more than half the assessment has issues, consider rejecting the full submission instead
Check for incomplete questions or blank responses
Ensure signatures and media uploads are present where required
Use the Evidence Report or Download Pack for audit trails
Reject only when a valid reason exists—add comments to explain decisions
