1.3 Navigating the Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first page you see after logging into LAAMP. It’s designed to provide quick access to the most important tools and actions based on your user permissions. Whether you’re a learner, assessor, or administrator, the Dashboard dynamically adjusts to show only what’s relevant to you.

What You’ll See on the Dashboard

• Navigation Menu

This menu consolidates functionality from both the tiles and top navigation bar from previous versions.

It may also be compressed in order to maximise screen space.

• Permission Switcher

As a User holding multiple permissions, you will be able to switch views, customising options to suit the specific function of that permission.

This feature will be built out as we go, providing relevant dashboards, and one-click functionality.

• Training Page

Responsible for viewing all Training assigned to your profile.

Task List and Group Training views are also available from this page.

• Critical Competencies

This tab brings the most important training to the forefront and will disappear if you do not have any Critical Training pending.

• Quick Start

This tab will show Training that you have started, but not yet completed.

Courses within Critical Competencies will also be prioritised in view.

• User Information

This panel will provide at-a-glance information on important metrics for your profile.

In addition to the details present in the previous Dashboard, you will now be able to see how many Courses you have in "Awaiting Verification / Authorisation" statuses. (edited) 

Accessing Features from the Dashboard

Click on any tile to navigate directly to that function. Some common tiles include:

• Training – View and access your assigned training.

• Practical Assessments – (for Assessors) Access and conduct assessments.

• Approval List – (for Coordinators/Authorisers) Verify or approve completed assessments.

• Reports – (for Admins/Coordinators) Generate detailed training analytics.

Using the Side Menu

The Side Menu is always accessible from the top-left corner (☰ icon).

• The Side Menu is permission-aware—like the Dashboard, it only displays the tools and areas your role can access.

• It’s ideal for jumping between sections quickly while staying in context.

Quick Tips

• If your Dashboard seems limited, make sure you’re using the correct permission via the Permission Switcher (top-right under your profile).

• You can return to the Dashboard anytime by clicking the LAAMP logo in the top-left corner.
