3.4 Deleting or Editing a Pathway

Modified on Tue, 8 Jul at 11:42 AM

Training Pathways in LAAMP are flexible and easy to manage even after they’ve been created. Whether you need to update content, adjust the order of Competencies, or remove a Pathway entirely, this page explains how to edit or delete a Pathway safely.

Editing an Existing Pathway

To edit a Pathway, you must have the Publisher or Administrator permission.

To access and edit:

  1. Go to the Training Pathways page via the Side Menu.

  2. Use the Search or Filters to find the Pathway you want to update.

  3. Click on the Pathway’s name to open the editing interface.

You’ll be taken to the same three-step creation process:

  • Details – Change title, description, and image

  • Targeting – Adjust who will receive the Pathway

  • Pathway – Add, remove, or reorder Competencies

Changes can be saved at any time using “Save as Draft”
You can also replace existing Competencies or reconfigure targeting without starting from scratch.

Important: If you update targeting and a Competency is no longer available under the new distribution, it will be marked Restricted, and a warning message will be displayed.

Removing Competencies from a Pathway

On the Pathway step, you can:

  • Click a Competency tile to highlight it

  • Click the 3-dot menu to Remove the selected Competency

  • Or use the multi-select tool to remove several at once

You can also drag and drop Competency tiles to change their delivery order.

Deleting a Pathway

To delete a Pathway, you must have the Delete Training Pathway permission.

To delete:

  1. From the Training Pathways list, find the Pathway.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to its name.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Once deleted, the Pathway and its progress tracking are permanently removed for all users. Deleted Pathways cannot be recovered, so be sure before you confirm.

Best Practice Tip

  • For minor changes, use Save as Draft and re-publish when ready.

  • Avoid deleting Pathways that are in use—especially for compliance-critical training.
